PINT FOR A PURPOSE – GREENPOP
We’re really excited to announce that Greenpop will be our Pint for a Purpose for the month of April and May.
It’s perfect timing too with the Greenpop Reforest Fest having just taken place this weekend, 7-10 April. It was an epic festival with planting trees, camping under the stars, eating delicious food and enjoying live music by local artists. For more info on the Festival, you can visit their website HERE.
What’s Greenpop all about, you ask? Greenpop is on a mission to, “plant trees, green communities and empower environmental stewards across Sub-Saharan Africa”.
Based in Cape Town, Greenpop work to restore ecosystems through forest restoration, urban greening, food gardening and environmental awareness projects. They were founded in 2010 and have since planted over 200 000 trees. They’re doing truly incredible work and are definitely a worthy NGO to support.
We spoke to co-founder, Misha Teasdale, to find out more about Greenpop’s projects, goals and specifically their urban greening projects. Have a look at the vid HERE.
If you’d like to support this powerful TREEvolution, you can come down to Jack Black’s Taproom and order a Pint for a Purpose where proceeds from your pint will go directly to Greenpop. Otherwise you can head on over to their website HERE, to donate, help fundraise or to volunteer.
Cheers!
