From epic trail running events like RMB UTCT, UTD and The Otter Trail, to equally epic communities like Street Friends… we sure do have a lot to be thankful for.
We’ve had an incredible year to say the least and we’re super grateful for every single person that’s crossed our path and supported us in so many ways this year. Today we’re celebrating these many incredible triumphs and everything in between, a truly special Finish Line Feeling.

Sealand X Jack Black Cooler // A Collaboration of Spirit
At Jack Black, we believe in the power of collaboration - the opportunities it unlocks and the impact we create when partnering with the right people. This year we teamed up with Sealand to create the Jack Black X Sealand Adventure Cooler - a stylish, and sustainably crafted essential for any outdoor adventure
Community // Street Friends Joburg
Every Sunday the Street Friends crew get together for a ride out around Joburg and finish off the day with ice cold Jack Black beers. This community event is put together by Jack Black Ambassador Maestro and we’d highly recommend joining in the vibes if you’re a cyclist out that side!
RMB Ultra-Trail Drakensberg // Events
RMB Ultra-Trail Drakensberg is absolutely the most beautiful trail event. Every year, we’re blown away by the incredible scenes from this epic trail race and honoured to share ice-cold Jack Black beers with everyone at the finish line.
Lumberjack , Wolves of Winter, Fresh Hop // Limited Releases
We're incredibly proud of the limited-release brews that were expertly crafted by our brewers this year. Of course we have no favourites, but if we had to have a favourite for this year, it would have to be Lumberjack Amber Ale. This year's brew was bold, sturdy and strong. It was like drinking a big old Redwood while monster pinecones fell from the sky. Delicious.
The African Beer Cup and SANBT // Awards
We're super honoured to have won some pretty impressive awards this year. Our brewers put in an serious amount of passion, skill and hard work in making Jack Black beers, and it means the world to the team to get recognition for their craft.

Capital Craft Beer Fest // Beer Festivals
We had an epic time this year at the annual Capital Craft Beer Fest in Pretoria. Each year just gets better & better and it’s always a massive highlight for us sharing ice cold beer & good vibes with everyone.
The Otter Trail // Events
The Otter African Trail Run is named The Grail of Trail for a reason! This was our first year partnering with The Otter Trail Run and it was an incredible honour to share ice-cold Jack Black beers with everyone at the finish line. Here's to many more at this legendary trail event.
Taproom Revamp // Special Projects
Jack Black's Taproom bar had a full revamp this year and it's looking very fresh - we're quite proud! Make sure to stop by for some award-winning beer, delicious food and good vibes.
Lite Lager // New Brew
This was a very special one for us. This year we launched a brand new brew, Lite Lager. Low in calories, bold in flavour. At only 86 calories and 4% Alc, it’s effortlessly easy and endlessly rewarding. Go Lite. Go Far.
The Finish Line Brew // A Collaboration of Spirit
The Finish Line Brew, in collaboration with RMB UTCT, was a celebration of trail running, community and that unbeatable feeling of crossing the finish line. It’s was an absolute pleasure working with the RMB UTCT team on the project, and we’re beyond stoked that we got to hand a Finish Line Brew to every single runner as they crossed that finish line - celebrating that finish line feeling.
RMB UTCT // Events
